Meet the Sisters
Hi, I’m Abi!
I love reading classical literature and collecting all kinds of artifacts. Some say I’m an old soul and I’m learning to wholeheartedly embrace that moniker. While I enjoy all things old, my goals with Sister’n Goods are to continue to push us forward in the age of technology.
My role as one of the business owners, is to design our wooden jewelry lines and operate our laser engraver to create our unique pieces. One thing I especially love is taking Texas wood, something that you might burn in a fire pit, but instead turning it into beautiful pieces for others to enjoy. Sister’n Goods has pushed me to pursue and hone my skills in product development but also build my business skills - calling people on the phone is hard y’all!
Not only do I gain a feeling of pride from my work but also from giving back to children around that world who are less fortunate than I. It’s an incredible privilege to use my time and talents to help kids with their physical needs as well as share the hope of Jesus through organizations like Samaritan’s Purse.
My current focus and goals are pursing more wholesale contracts (help me out with that!) and to self fund going on a mission trip through Sister’n Goods!
Hey, I’m Emma!
I’m an outdoors gal - like all of us girls, I hunt, fish and backpack but I’m also into archery and can’t wait to hunt this season with my new Matthews bow. I’m Papa’s helper too, so I’ve apprenticed in everything from electrical to welding but can bake a pie with the best of them. I also love making things beautiful - from watercolor painting, to arranging cut flowers or turning raw wood into pieces of art.
To my chagrin, I have somehow become the Sister’n Goods “Chief Sander” for our wooden goods. I also focus on painting our watercolor items and sewing everything from dog bandanas to lavender eye pillows. These past 6 years, I’ve really learned how to push myself to accomplish goals.
One thing that makes Sister’n Goods so special is the incredible support from our customers. Their enthusiasm motivates us to keep innovating new products and pushing us to learn new skills. I get great satisfaction from crafting quality goods and then seeing the amazement in customers’ faces that young people can create products like ours! We also hope to inspire other young people to push their own limits and impact lives in the process.
Howdy, I’m Bekah!
So let’s be real, as the baby of the family, I had no choice but to go along with my older sisters. Sister’n Goods started when I was only 6, so I’ve been smiling and greeting customers at our pop up shops since then!
While I delight in all things fancy, I also know how to get my hands dirty. I’m the entomologist of the family, I love fly fishing and have recently learned how to tie flies. One of my favorite spots at home is my cut flower garden - it’s amazing to grow flowers from tiny seeds.
For Sister’n Goods, I mainly focus on crochet, woodworking and am in training on the embroidery machine. It’s incredible to see how far we’ve gotten in 6 years and I can’t wait to see where we are in another 6 years!
Another main role I have is, “Chief Shopper” for all of our Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes! We have been packing 100 boxes a year, so that means shopping all year long…something I love doing. Even better is the thought of the kids’ joy as they receive the boxes!
Don’t worry, we still have plenty of time to have fun & be kids….
